PcapHub

DMCA & Copyright Takedown Policy

Effective date: March 2026

Our Commitment

PcapHub respects intellectual property rights. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent copyright laws. If you believe content hosted on PcapHub infringes your copyright, you can submit a takedown request.

What We Host

PcapHub hosts packet capture (PCAP) files uploaded by users. All uploaders must confirm they have the legal right to share their captures before uploading. Despite these controls, infringing content may occasionally be uploaded.

How to Submit a Takedown Request

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Request" including:

  1. Your name and contact information (email, postal address, phone)
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  3. The specific URL(s) on PcapHub where the infringing content is located
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

We will respond within 5 business days and remove infringing content promptly upon verification.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to [email protected] including:

  1. Your contact information
  2. Identification of the removed content and its former location
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake
  4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your district (or, if outside the US, any judicial district in which PcapHub may be found)
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Repeat Infringers

PcapHub will terminate accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.

Privacy in PCAP Files

In addition to copyright, we take privacy seriously. If a PCAP file contains your personal data (IP addresses, credentials, private communications) without your consent, please contact us at [email protected] for removal.
